Police in Lebanon have launched an investigation after a British Embassy worker was found dead in Beirut.
According to British media reports the embassy worker named Rebecca Dykes was strangled before her body was left beside a busy motorway.
It is understood that local police authorities are trying to determine whether or not Ms Dykes 30, was sexually assaulted before she was strangled.
Meanwhile the British Foreign Affairs office has confirmed they are currently working with Lebanese police authorities.
