The city of Cork may become the second urban center in Ireland to have a light rail transport system, similar to the LUAS network in the capital.
If the plans go ahead, the system, nicknamed ‘Cluas’, would link the docklands with Ballincollig, with stops along the city centre, hospitals, university, etc.
Commuters shouldn’t hold their breath just yet though, as it may be another decade or so before the project becomes a reality, if it does go ahead at all.
