The US Senate Intelligence committee has said it has no found no direct evidence of collusion between President Donald Trump and the Russian government during his election campaign.
After two years of investigations, millions of dollars spent and over 200 interviews the Senate Committee investigating conspiracy theories regarding collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia have found nothing of any note.
US mainstream media outlets have continued to promulgate theories that Russia hacked Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton’s emails and leaked the damming information to help Donald Trump.
However, experts have said it is far more likely that these emails were leaked by someone inside the Democratic National Convention to WikiLeaks who released them online.
The investigation is now nearing an end, along with the probe being led by former FBI Director Robert Mueller that is also expected to disappoint Democrats and media pundits desperate for damning evidence on President Trump.
