It has emerged that a world-famous faith healer in Brazil known as “John of God” was arrested last month under suspicious of enslavement, murder and dozens of counts of child rape.

The man, who real name is Joao Teixeira de Faria (77) was arrested in mid-December in possession of bags of gems, which it is claimed he acquired from his rural mines which are worked by enslaved women.

Many celebrities were friends and associates of Faria, whose cult stands accused of running one of the largest child sex, murder and trafficking rings ever, including Former US President Bill Clinton.

Accusations by 10 women against Faria were aired on Brazilian TV last month.

Of the many accusations levelled, one was of impregnating girls at his compound, Casa de Dom Inacio de Loyola in Abadiania, selling the babies to buyers in Europe, the USA and Australia while their mothers were murdered after giving birth a certain number of times.

However, over the weekend one the supposed faith-healers most high-profile accusers, Sabrina Bittencourt (38) who was living under protection in Spain after receiving death threats, was found dead from an apparent suicide.

Bittencourt’s eldest son took to Facebook following the death stating “She took the last step so that we could live. They killed my mother.”

So far Faria has been charged with two counts of rape and two counts of statutory rape.
