15-yr-old Irish boxer Mary Kate Nevin, who won gold and the ‘Best Boxer Award’ at the Queens Cup in Germany on Saturday, has been admitted to hospital after being punched in the eye by a Russian trainer after allegedly making too much noise in her hotel room.
The story is developing but it has been confirmed that the youth was allegedly punched badly in the eye by a Russian male trainer of which doctors are currently assessing the girl’s injuries in hospital.
