In breaking news this afternoon, Johnson & Johnson have announced that they’re to immediately delay the rollout of their vaccine in Europe as a result of blood clot reports.
Severe and dangerous blood clots have now been associated with two covid vaccines, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson, but will there be more associated with Pfizer and Moderna?
It’s also understood that United States has immediately halted the administration of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine due to blood clot formation.
It is understood that no fewer than six people who recently took the vaccine developed clots shortly afterwards. At least one person died, and a second is in a critical condition in hospital. The age of the six people ranged from 18-48.
This is the second coronavirus vaccine to be associated with blood clotting events, following similar reports associated with the AstraZeneca vaccine.
