Public remain concerned for the wellbeing of singer Sinead O’Connor

Members of the public remain concerned for singer Sinead O’Connor after it was indicated earlier this week that she was being hospitalised after worrying tweets following the death of her son Shane.

Social media users have expressed support for Ms. O’Connor, in the hope that she will recover from this difficult time.

According to Irish Central, O’Connor has been struggling since the loss of her 17-year-old son Shane.  He died by suicide and she has been vocal in discussing her feelings in the aftermath of his death.

She posted a number of tweets that concerned users, saying:

“I’ve decided to follow my son.  There is no point living without him.  Everything I touch, I ruin.  I only stayed for him.  And now he’s gone.”

She also said that she didn’t want to be in a world without her son.

Concerned twitter users highlighted the posts, asking O’Connor’s friends and family to get in touch with her immediately.

The singer subsequently posted again, confirming that she was seeking medical help, saying:

“I’m sorry.  I shouldn’t have said that.  I am with cops now on way to hospital.  I’m sorry I upset everyone.  I am lost without my kid and I hate myself.  Hospital will help a while.  But I’m going to find Shane.  This is just a delay.
