Charity advises people to wear masks during sex and avoid kissing and face to face contact

A charity known as the Terrence Higgins Trust has advised people to wear masks during sex and avoid kissing.

The charity has also cautioned people that for the duration of the virus they should limit themselves to one sex partner and only engage in sex that avoids face to face contact.

The sexual health charity said their erstwhile research shows that 84% of people surveyed abstained from sex with anyone they did not live with during lockdown, but it is now “not realistic to ask people to avoid sex indefinitely” Sky News reports.

Dr Michael Brady, the medical director for the Terrence Higgins Trust said:
“Sex is a very important part of life”

Adding “we hope by issuing this advice we will help people to manage the risks of COVID-19 while also being able to have and enjoy sex.”
