The Chief Medical Officer for Ireland Dr Tony Holohan has made a plea with people to stay in at all costs and not to give in to going out during the upcoming good weather, no matter how tempting it is.
Dr Holohan said that he shares the concerns of others who’ve seen many people around towns and cities and said that we need to see the high level of compliance with the lockdown measures continued.
He said:
“We understand that good weather and fatigue is setting in but we need people to stay with us.”
He said that regardless of the good weather, lockdown measures are there for protecting individuals, vulnerable communities and that he knows it’s a significant ask but we need cooperation.
