There had been applause as well as disgust and outrage after the parish authorities at the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Ballyfermot, Dublin raised the LGBTQQIP2SAA on its premises.

The rainbow flag symbolises pride, which is itself viewed as a sin in Christianity, in non-heterosexual proclivities, also something considered a sin and condemned in Christianity.

On the Ballyfermot Assumption Parish page, the virtue signal was being hailed by liberals and many non-Catholics, while the faithful were expressing bemusement at such a contradiction of both Church and biblical Christian teaching.

There were numerous phone calls, emails and letters sent to both the Parish and the Archdiocese of Dublin regarding the outrage at the pro-homosexuality stance of the clergy and laity at this Parish but as yet no official response except for the usual pro-gay cliches on the parish’s Facebook page.

The church has since taken down the flag to much uproar from left wing elements and atheists.
