The controversial body has signalled that they may extend the registration deadline beyond the end of the month.
By October 31, all liable households must have either registered by post or online. But Irish Water have said today that such deadline ‘might have to be moved.’
Water charges have encountered an intense public backlash since they were announced. Last weekend, an estimated 100,000 people attended a mass demonstration in Dublin to protest against the charges.
Households across Ireland should begin receiving water bills from January 01.
