As Labour canvassers perform the walk of shame around housing estates nationwide, Joan Burton has begun jumping up and down to be the first to offer something in this election campaign.
Today, she pledged to raise the minimum wage to €11.30 an hour, and has also reiterated her promise to have the country return to full employment by 2018.
According to Ms. Burton, the party’s plans would creat 150,000 jobs over the next two years.
When asked about the disastrous ratings in the party’s popularity, she said “it looks like we’ll have a poll every third day.”
