Maria Rawlings, 45, was abducted off the street by 23-year-old Valentin Lazar, who had followed her from a bus, reports The Sun.

The murderer then left the gran’s nude body in the undergrowth for a dogwalker to discover after beating and strangling her to death.

After Lazar acknowledged to murder in 2022, he was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 23 years and 6 months, reports The Sun.

During a hearing at the Old Bailey today, the devil admitted to raping Maria, a mother of two.

In 2018, Lazar, a Romanian immigrant to the UK, was seen on camera trailing Maria off a bus in Romford, East London.

Then, amid the May 2021 terror, he grabbed Maria’s arm and pulled her into the bushes.

About thirty-one minutes later, Lazar came to the surface; however, he quickly went back into the underbrush to grab the grandmother’s handbag, reports The Sun.

The next day, her bare body was discovered, her handbag, shoes, and bank cards all lying about.

Maria was found to have been strangled to death and to have had injuries to her mouth, chest, and knee during a post-mortem examination.

The “assault of exceptional violence” also left her with 15 shattered ribs, and there were tracks on her tummy from being trampled.

At the time, because Maria was found naked and with bruises on her inner thighs, authorities indicated there could have been a “sexual motive” behind the murder, reports The Sun.
