A curious money in a zoo in California called 911 but hung up the phone on police.
According to the Metro, the call came through from Paso Robles zoo but when the officers tried to call back, they got no answer. They traced the call to the zoo and then on to a golf cart where they found a mobile phone lying in the cart.
Police and zoo officials came to the conclusion that one of the zoo’s Capuchin monkeys called Route made the call as they love grabbing anything they come across and would always push the buttons on a phone if they got their hands on one.
The police saw the funny side of it and posted pictures of Route on their facebook page, with the sheriff’s office commenting “As you can tell from these photos, Route is a little embarrassed by the whole thing. But you can’t really blame her, after all, monkey see, monkey do.”
