No Need To Be An Early Bird: Recent study reveals that those who stay up late at night are more intelligent than those who go to bed early

According to recent scientific studies it is believed that those who stay up late at night and struggle to get out of bed in the morning are significantly more intelligent than those who go to bed early.

Scientists believe that large quantities of sleep can largely affect the brain interfering with a person’s imagination, intelligence, and reflection, whilst being active throughout the night can improve your intellectual performance.
Leading scientists at the University of Madrid have carried out intense studies of the circadian rhythm, which is a biological rhythm that lasts around 24 hours. The most common is the sleep-wake rhythm. So there are two categories, but those who are part of the sleep-wake rhythm, meaning those who go to bed late and sleep in the morning, have higher intellectual performance.

Meanwhile another study carried out by the Department of Psychology at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan has confirmed this finding, whilst both studies have shown that night owls have much more imagination and a different prospective on things.

One of the leading scientists behind the findings Professor Marina Giampietro explains, “Increasing situations that force you to get out of your habits encourages the development of an unconventional mind and the capacity to find alternatives and original solutions. And being awake at night and asleep during the day, well, that’s anything but normal. So living this reverse way of life could improve some of our intrinsic skills.”
