Osama Bin Laden’s niece says that her support for Donald Trump sees her more hated than being related to 9/11 mastermind

The niece of Osama Bin Laden has said that supporting President Donald Trump for re-election has provoked more hatred against her than being related to the mastermind of the 9/11 terrorist attack that killed three thousand Americans.

Noor bin Ladin explained in an open letter how she had lost “so-called friends” after she spoke up to endorse Donald Trump for re-election in September, explaining how President Trump had helped crush Muslim extremists such as the Islamic State which profligate under Obama.

In the open letter written to The Spectator Noor explained:

“From a sociological standpoint, it is quite interesting that in some elitist circles being pro-Trump has caused me more grief than carrying the name bin Ladin.” In an earlier letter, she had shared that she has been a Trump supporter “since he announced he was running in the early days in 2015”.

Noor is now of the opinion that “coming out publicly was a step too far for some, and the vitriol I received for stating my political beliefs revealed unflattering sides to certain characters.”

While opposing President Trump is considered socially acceptable, expressing support for the embattled leader is often met with derision and attack.
