Revenue officers have seized €1.8 million worth of drugs after stopping a van in the south of the country.

Officials found 90kg of herbal cannabis after stopping a Polish-registered vehicle at Ringaskiddy Ferry Terminal. The vehicle had just arrived from France.

The driver of the van, a Polish national in his 20s, was arrested at the scene.
