Console has been embroiled in deep controversy over the past few weeks due to a seemingly endless raft of financial ‘irregularities.’

Revenue officials will now become involved in examining the charity’s accounts, in an effort to discover what has really been going on, and the extent of the funds’ misuse.

Allegations have arisen that Paul Kelly, the charity’s former CEO, and some family members, missapropriated a great deal of the funds given to the charity and used the monies to acquire foreign holidays, designer clothes, and rugby match tickets, among many other items.

It is understood that Mr. Kelly is now a resident in a psychiatric facility.

The case continues.
