Sixteen year old girl slashed at Coronas gig is contacted by band.




Erin Kelleher collided with a woman during the concert. The venue was crowded with avid music fans.

While attempting to apologize the girl was assaulted by the woman’s husband.

The teenager was slashed with a beer can during the the gig at The Marquee in Cork last Friday.

While speaking to the Irish Daily Mirror, Erin stated that the man:
“crushed his can. He started slashing at my face. He slashed two or three times across my head”

The girl went on to contact Cork radio station Red FM to report the incident.

Witnesses of the incident also contacted the radio station.

Following the concert The Coronas tweeted the school girl, apologizing for her experience and to offer her tickets to a future concert.

“Sorry her night was ruined, if you ask Erin to get in touch with us we’ll give her VIP tix & accom to our Galway show next month”.

Erin tweeted later on that Danny O’ Reilly, lead singer of the band rang to offer her the tickets personally.

The identity of the man is still unknown.
