The Ukrainian military claims to have shot down no fewer than four Russian aircraft in a 24h period.
The model of the downed aircraft is not immediately clear.
The Ukrainian army has so far inflicted devastating losses on the invading Russian troops, with some claiming that up to 12,000 Russian soldiers have already become casualties. The Russian army has also lost massive amounts of equipment.
