According to reports in Germany this evening it is believed that up to nine people have been killed and many more have been injured after a lorry ploughed through a crowd of people at a busy Christmas market in Berlin.
In what is believed to be a terrorist attack the nine fatalities and over 50 people were injured at the busy market place near the Kaiser Willham memorial church in the city.
Police say the driver has since been arrested after he fled the scene it is understood police officers managed to apprehend the perpetrator near the city zoo in the past hour.
