In a letter written by US Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe to Senator Lindsey Graham on Tuesday it was alleged that Hillary Clinton concocted the debunked Trump-Russia conspiracy theory to smear her electoral opponent and the Obama administration was briefed on the plot.

In Director Ratcliffe’s letter it was explained that Clinton’s alleged plan was to vilify Trump by tying him to Russian President Vladimir Putin “and the Russian’s hacking of the Democratic National Committee.”

This was meant not only to smear Donald Trump but to distract from WikiLeaks’s leaking tens of thousands of Clinton’s emails.

The bombshell letter also details how then President Barack Obama was allegedly briefed by then Director of the CIA John Brennan, who is known to be outspokenly and actively anti-Trump.

Fox News reported claims that in September 2016 officials forwarded an investigative referral to then FBI Director James Comey and his Deputy Assistant Director of Counterintelligence Peter Strzok about Clinton and the
“approval of a plan concerning U.S. Presidential candidate Donald Trump and Russian hackers hampering U.S. elections as a means of distracting the public from her use of a private mail server.”

Leaked messages between Strzok and his illicit lover and his FBI colleague Lisa Page showed the pair discussing how they would sabotage Donald Trump’s campaign and even talking about “stopping” him after his election victory.

The letter was rejected by the Senate Intelligence Committee in the aftermath of the 2016 election because it was part of a Russian intelligence assessment.
