Sad news this evening, as the former Minister for Education Dick Burke has passed away at the age of 83.
Mr. Burke served as Education Minister in the Fine Gael government under Liam Cosgrave, between the years of 1973 to 1976.
He is survived by his wife Mary and their 5 children.
