There was some good news for Fianna Fáil as new poll has seen them become the country’s leading party amongst voters.
According to The Business Post/Red C opinion poll Micheál Martin’s party sit on 26%.
The poll which will make for grim reading for Fine Gael 23%, means that Fianna Fáil has its highest support amongst voters since 2017.
The poll which also saw a surge in support for Sinn Féin who now sit on 19%.
Elsewhere the Green Party are up one to 8% whilst Labour dropped two to 4%.
The poll also saw the Independents losing two points dropping to 14%.
Meanwhile there is a 1 point rise for the Social Democrats who are up to 3%, whilst Solidarity-PBP remain unchanged on 2%.
Aontú are recorded as having 1% in support.
