International report, “State of the climate in 2014” was released today by the American Meteorological Society.

The report showed that 2014 was the warmest year recorded on Earth.

It showed that there has been an increase in land and ocean temperatures, a rise in sea levels and greenhouse gas emissions.

The planets surface temperature reached it’s hottest last year in 135 years.

Professor Peter Thorne from Maynooth University said: “The 2014 report confirms yet again that we live in a world going through rapid climate change”.
