42-year-old, Julian Cuddihy, has been arrested in relation to the murder of his parents. Pensioners Jimmy and Kathleen Cuddihy, were found murdered in their home in Co Donegal.
It is believed that last night the two were attacked and butchered to death. Their bodies were found by their other son James, and a builder who was renovating their home.
Last night, Julian was arrested and has been held at Buncrana Gardai Station and is being interviewed.
An axe was among one of the items that was recovered at the scene. Kathleen was a former nurse and Jimmy was a retired maths teacher at Carndonagh Community College.
Nobody else has been arrested in connection to the murder.
